Friends for Dinner
Welcome to Friends for Dinner! We are a hospitality program that brings international students into the homes of friendly Germans for a tasty meal during the traditional holidays of Easter and Christmas.
About us
What is Friends for Dinner?
Friends for Dinner is a collaboration between local churches and Christian student organizations to connect friendly Germans with international students in order to show them hospitality and build friendships.
We understand that international students coming to Germany will have many new and exciting experiences as they study and live in a new culture. Yet leaving home to live in a foreign country can also leave them feeling disoriented, lonely and homesick.
The idea and concept of Friends for Dinner originally startet in Canada and found distribution a few years later in the USA and now also in Germany.Â

Easter 2025
At Easter we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the victory of life over death. The central motif and foundation of the Christian faith therefore also makes Easter the highest Christian festival. For the resurrection and the victory over death give Christians hope for eternal life. Thus, Easter is also called and understood as the feast of hope.
